The Lanka Japan Friendship Society (LJFS) held their 62nd Annual General Meeting at the Sasakawa Hall at 6.30pm on 18th Feb 2021 with Mr. Rajah Sinnathuray, President in the Chair. The Patron of the Society, His Excellency Akira Sugiyama was regrettably unable to attend due to the Covid 19 situation prevailing in the country, and requested that he be excused. However his message of felicitation to the new President was read out.

Mr. Rajah Sinnathuray the outgoing President, thanked the Executive Committee and the general membership for the co-operation extended to him, during the last 3 years and requested that the same co-operation be extended to the new President elect Mr. Merrick Gooneratne who would be taking over from him.

The official sessions were terminated for an informal group photograph of the EXCO, after which members were free to network, socialize and partake of the sumptuous light buffet dinner, in conformity to the health regulations imposed by the Public Health Inspector of Colpetty.
