The Lanka Japan Friendship Society (LJFS) held a Bana preaching and almsgiving to 7 (seven) Monks at the Gangarama Buddhist Temple at Hunupitiya, Colombo 2 to bestow merit on the following dearly departed members and associates of the LJFS.

Dr. P.R. Anthonis and Mrs Anthonis/Mr. Upali Jayasekera and Mrs. Jayasekera/ Mr. Chandra Jayatilleke/Mr. Lal. C. Wewala/Mr. Daya Weththasinghe/ Mrs. Sandaseeli Anandagoda/Mrs. Dayani Gunawardena/Mr. Anura Haegoda and other late members of the LJFS.

The Venerable Kirinde Assaji Thera, Deputy Chief Incumbent officiated, and delivered the sermon.

Around 30 members and well-wishers were present who took part in the proceedings and also partook in the almsgiving lunch, which followed the sermon.
