LANKA-JAPAN FRIENDSHIP SOCIETY HOSTS FAREWELL/WELCOME DINNER TO JAPANESE DIPLOMATS ON 20TH FEB 2025

The Lanka-Japan Friendship Society (LJFS) hosted Mr. Kenji Inoue, 1st Secretary, Cultural Affairs of the Embassy of Japan (EOJ) to a farewell dinner on 20th Feb 2025 at the Kuuraku Japanese Restaurant at Park Street Mews, Colombo 2. 23 persons participated in the dinner.
Mr. Inoue who is a career diplomat and who has served 3 years in Colombo, has now been posted to the Japanese embassy in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Previously Inoue-san had served in the Japanese diplomatic missions in Dili, East Timor; Atlanta, Georgia, USA; Kabul, Afghanistan; and in Islamabad, Pakistan.
Mr. Inoue and Ms. Anna Suzuki, 2nd Secretary, regularly attended monthly EXCO meetings of the LJFS on behalf of the embassy. His successor Ms. Miyuki Eguchi, 1st Secretary; and Ms. Anna Suzuki, were also present with the members of the LJFS for the farewell dinner.
Ms. Eguchi worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where she was involved in Japan-India bilateral relations and Japan's ODA to Myanmar, prior to her current assignment in Colombo. She also served at the Consulate-General office of Japan in Mumbai as well as the Embassy of Japan in India.
She holds an MA from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.
