The Lanka Japan Friendship Society (LJFS) gave an assurance to their members and sponsors, that they would assist needy schools from a portion of the profits, after finalizing their fundraiser “Rhythm of the Nite” held on 14th Nov 2025 held at the Ramada Colombo.

Accordingly a Cannon copier/printer/scanner/fax bearing model no: MF284dw purchased from Metropolitan Technologies (Pvt) Ltd was handed over to Major Sanath Pushpakumara Mudunkotuwa, Principal of Anuragoda Kanishta Vidyalaya, Dompe on 8th May 2026 in the presence of the staff and students.

Present at the handing over were President/LJFS Tony Saldin, General Secretary Jagath Pathirane and EXCO member Dilhan Totahewage. The Principal whilst thanking the LJFS for their generous donation, also informed that they would be happy if the LJFS could assist them in renovating their smart classroom as well in the near future.

The LJFS is scheduled to donate another Cannon photocopy machine model iR 16431 to Tharaala Sirikurusa Kanishta Vidyalaya within May 2026.
