Deshabandu, Deshashathi Dr. Soma Edirisinghe, Chairperson, EAP Group of Companies and Vice President of the Lanka Japan Friendship Society (LJFS) passed away on the morning of 5th November 2015 after a brief illness at the age of 76.
She was a much loved and vibrant figure in the LJFS EXCO. The last project handled by her as Project Chairperson was a fundraiser “Sing Along with Sohan and the X-periments” on 14th March this year held at the BMICH. The project was a resounding success.
An entrepreneur, social worker and film producer par excellence, her funeral took place at the General cemetery Kanatte on the same evening, attended by a large gathering of politicians, artistes, friends and family.
The President & Members of the LJFS extend their deepest condolences to her family.
May she attain the supreme bliss of Nibbana.
